Students of
the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, undoubtedly now understand the true
meaning of culture.
This was expressed by the presentation of
diverse cultures on Thursday at the hall of the institute. The presentation was
made as a result of the inclusion of the course “African Communication System
“to the curriculum.
Speaking with one of the students who presented,
Deborah Ofoesuwa, African Communication System is essential for youths to the
tenets of their culture too.
Therefore,
African Communication System as a course should not be included in the tertiary
curriculum alone but must be included at the primary and secondary school level
also to make young people of nowadays understand their culture to the fullest
and never forget they are representatives of their culture anywhere they find
themselves.
