THE GOOD OLD DAYS

There was a time when 10 naira could sustain a person for a day.

Peace(whether black or white)

A time when the educational sector was important and our graduates could show proof of what they had learnt while in school.

A time when agriculture was the pride of our economy.

A time when our culture was cherished.

A time when we were all proud to be Nigerians.

A time when everyone could sleep witj their two eyes closed.

A time when parents never abandoned their children even when the economy is sour.

A time when teachers did not do on strike.

A time when the rich gave the needy.

A time when food was cheap.

A time when children could play in the rain without getting flushed away by flood.

A time when everyone was at peace with themselves and government.

A time when people were honest with themselves.

A time when children could sit around the fire and hear the folktale of their forefathers being told to them by their parents.

A time when one could stay out late without encountering any danger.

But all of these are now things of the past. Even the Bible told us that in the end time, there shall be a lot of agony and troubles.

Why is it that it is now that men fancy each other(homosexuals) or ladies find pleasure in themselves (lesbians)? Everything that is happening in this world is contrary to how God wants it to be.

God made the rich so that they can help the needy, but what do we see? The rich wants to covet everything without caring about others.

We can make it if we want to

God established government so that they its citizens, but what is happening today? The leaders are siphoning money, thereby making it impossible for them to embark on life-changing projects that will be of immense benefit to the citizens.

God instituted ministry. But today, it has become a form of business where fake ministers thrive on.

God instituted family so that the family can n be the bedrock of every society. But today our children are immoral,disrespectful, disobedient, truculent and supercilious.

I am not saying there is a perfect or best moment but in all circumstances, we should make the best use of it. Even in this trying times,we should try our best not to compromise our faith and always try to get the lesson out of every story.
